The Construction Technology of Wooden Observatory Tower

The Pyramidkogel wooden tower is designed to guarantee a life span of 40 years. This does not mean that the life span of the wooden tower will end in 40 years, and depending on the maintenance, the tower’s life can be extended.

In particular, the surface of the wood, remains intact without any treatment, free from preservatives or paints. Therefore, the surface color of the wood was changed to brown (right) after losing all of the initial orange (left).
